On Aug. 15, 2025, at approximately 4:30 p.m., a man boarded a bus in the area of 95 Ave and 165 Street. He reportedly pulled out a knife and began yelling and waving it in the air, at times pointing the knife at the people on the fully loaded bus. The man sat down and appeared to sit in silence while continuing to hold the knife. The passengers on the bus reportedly feared for their safety. ALERT’s Integrated Gang Enforcement Team (IGET) recently partnered with Wabasca RCMP to address community concerns related to gang activity. Working alongside the RCMP, ALERT conducted targeted enforcement and vehicle interdiction on known A$AP gang members and associates.
