The weights are commoditizing fast — the real edge is now the full stack: unified routing, low-latency inference, persistent runtimes like OpenClaw, and tight agent loops with proper scaffolding. A well-orchestrated open model + smart tooling routinely beats sloppy prompting on bigger closed models. The $200/month barrier collapsing is massive for solo builders, especially in finance where iteration speed and cost matter. System design > model worship.
