@wetcatyuri it doesn't matter if the character actually transitioned or not because they were written with the intention of being a trans character. you cannot put fiction to the same standards as reality.

@wetcatyuri its built on transitioning in someway but it gets a lot more nuanced when it comes to fiction. if a fictional character is genderless, regardless of the way they were born, that makes them agender, which puts them under the trans umbrella, making them a trans character.

Building a team of characters who are trans but people still deny that they are.

@wetcatyuri you can apply human gender constructs to them because they were written by humans. they were written to be gender non-conforming by human standards. this makes them trans characters by the standards we hold to fiction.

@wetcatyuri they dont transition to be agender because theyre not real people and dont have any autonomy of their own on account of their status as plot devices. they were *written to be agender*. they are trans CHARACTERS because the writers had to actively choose for them to be gnc.
