Disney didn’t give press the Paradise Season 2 finale — they certainly didn’t give it *me*, anyway — so I’ll be watching it with everyone else. Will try and get the article out ASAP. The secrecy makes me nervous.

I have many thoughts on this, a lot of them pretty difficult to articulate, but the most obvious and uncontroversial takeaway is that Camila Morrone is a real star. There were glimmers of it in The Night Manager, but this is a different kettle of fish entirely.

The experiment to see if Yellowstone could be boiled down to a fairly standard action procedural seems to be a success. I like #MarshalsCBS — I like the Kayce character, I like the setting. But it’s a very different show from Yellowstone and unavoidably feels a bit like the kind of spin-off meant to address peoples’ frustrations that Kayce stopped going on killing sprees in the later seasons.
