@lfcphl@USCHolmey Yesterday was a beautiful June day in Massachusetts, Friday was swamp ass and today looks like some thunderstorms might roll in, but yesterday was nice
@JM66878@USCHolmey 9pm is not inconvenient for locals. Ever been to a concert? Main act doesn’t come on till 8:30/9pm. Was over 90 degrees yesterday with about 70-80% humidity on the Easy Coast.
@lfcphl@USCHolmey Most evening sporting events start at 7pm. 1 pm is a perfectly reasonable time for a sporting event, ask any local MLB, NFL, NBA, NHL or MLS team....
Am I the only person in Canada who is NOT watching the World Cup soccer? I really couldn't care less about the over priced over hyped games.
Anyone else?
The man, upon seeing a fat guy, humiliates him in front of his girlfriend to drag him into a fight;
With the first punch he receives, he meets harsh reality, and with the second, he meets God!
These hydration breaks are a joke. We are in North America, not the Sahara. Soccer has been played in heat since the sport existed and nobody needed a TV timeout to survive it. Let's call it out for what it is... An opportunity to add even more commercials to sports.
@DavidZorkocy As a Star Wars fan, they are literally giving me (at least 1/3rd) of what I really want. They will have a re-release of the original theatrical version of Star Wars next February if they want to do the same with Empire and Return of the Jedi they can shut up and take my money
Genuine question…
Why do entertainment companies actively ignore the desire of their own fans?
Star Wars fans have been begging them to remove “the message” from their shows.
Doctor Who fans have been begging them to remove “the message” from their show.
Star Trek fans have been begging them to remove “the message” from their shows.
Stargate fans are begging them to not include “the message” in their upcoming content.
Gamers of almost every genre have been begging them to remove “the message” from games.
Yet these executives will not stop! Why do they have this insatiable need to insert their own beliefs into other people‘s entertainment?
@USCHolmey Yes, a game was played in Foxborough, Massachusetts at 9pm EDT, which is 01:00 GMT. Inconvenient for people watching locally and middle of the night for the Europeans who are the true audience for the tournament. Should have been 1pm EDT (10am PDT & 17:00 GMT)
@JM66878@NeverteIImeodd Do you mean prime Tyson or 60 year old Tyson?
With the right mechanics and a precise strike I believe you could if he did not see it coming.
@aservantlead@NeverteIImeodd Easier said than done though, like I said I could knock out Tyson, but with his size, speed and pugilistic skill, I wouldn't have a chance of hitting that spot
@JM66878@NeverteIImeodd Even a small man can knock out a big man if he hits him on “the button”. Jar the spinal fluid enough and its lights out. Never stand that close in a tense situation. In this case the bulky had it coming.
@NeverteIImeodd Most men can knock out most men if they don’t see the punch coming.
Getting that close shows the bully doesn’t really know anything about martial combat.
Palpatine was a real one for respecting the 1v1 It's kind of a nice detail as Luke's not getting phased by Vader trying to lure him to the dark side but loses his shit once he mentions his sister.
Can we all agree that is the only true end to Star Wars
