@rottenbanana101 I do not agree. How was provoking the closure of the Strait of Hormuz in our best interest? We have no easy way to reopen the strait. If you provoke a war you need to be sure of victory and not let the enemy slit your throat. Few realize how serious this is.

The building blocks for a sovereign European deep-strike industrial base are in place: 1. Order market-ready lighter systems from European suppliers now. 2. Accelerate development of heavy missile capabilities. 3. Work towards replacing critical American components in the European missile supply chain (the Williams International F-415 turbofan in the JSM being an obvious candidate). 4. Cooperate extensively with Ukraine. European independence in deep strike is achievable. But it is a political, as much as an industrial question.
