A good exercise for interpreting news like this is to pretend that you heard it about a foreign country. For example what would it mean if the Russian or Chinese Defense Minister asked for the resignation of their army Chief of Staff a few weeks into a war?

If we're being honest this is long overdue. It was unconscionable for us to be telling Soldiers that they should avoid stopping for gas in uniform, be hyper-vigilant while waiting at the gate, etc. while also telling them they can't carry in uniform or have a blade longer than 3 inches.

Base museums have been neglected for a long time. It'd be nice to see them reinvigorated by incorporating them into training and PME. Officers especially need to know more military history than they are currently taught bc we have prioritized a lot of useless content for a long time.
