@RudlandWood Hi Natale! I wondered if you had an email contact? We are working in partnership with local communities in the UK who are loving the recipes of life approach, and it would be great to touch base and share some of the work

If anyone has any information regarding grant applications please get in touch with @julie_a_b_ & @Dr_SJRennalls. They have worked so hard to collect really rich data on top of their training, participation in the @MinoritiesGroup and BME slack forum. Let’s value this work:

We’ve spent so many unpaid hours on this work. SO many. Grateful to have the dreamiest richest dataset from our aspiring psychologists participants - socioeconomic status included! Next stage = find funding so we can afford to carry on. Any suggestions? Or offers? :D #GTiCP2019

Some folks with issues around trauma or abuse (past or present) can find smear tests triggering, but sexual health clinics should be set up to accommodate this. Take a friend, make a visit first, speak to staff beforehand - whatever you need to do. #cervicalscreening

With the current campaign to encourage women to get a #CervicalScreening, my recommendation is definitely get one done, but go to a sexual health clinic not your GP: clinics do this all the time rather than every now & then & proficiency matters when you're having a smear test.

4. This has highlighted how important it is to have a diverse workforce. I don't think its fair that some therapist make the client to scribble their language in an English booklet then get surprised when the patient disengages.

Today I begun translating behavioural activation in shona and it made me realise how difficult it is for people that do not speak English to access mental health support. Here are some of things I have learnt so far .......

Colin King questions/comments on: Is it unconscious bias or biased consciousness? What does the Mental Health Act legalise? Survival Vs Selling Out. Reconsider Racialised scripts and cultures that uphold practices. We NEED new models. #FacingOurRacismISPS
