My US visa is still pending. I could not obtain media accreditation because the NFF said they had “shared out” the accreditation control keys. I did not believe this, but I could not argue, as FIFA deemed it appropriate to adopt the Olympic-style system, subjecting journalists to federations rather than allowing independent application and ratification of submissions within the allotted quota. One big risk I may take is travelling to the US without media accreditation if my visa is eventually approved. I do not mind if my first World Cup coverage is from outside the stadiums or within fan zones; I will tell the story wherever I find myself. If none of it works out, I will stay in my father's house. I am well loved there anyway. ☺️
