"Monday Night Matchup" ESPN's #NFL Films-produced MNF pregame show was introduced in 1984 — featuring Chris Berman, Steve Sabol, and Allie Sherman. Airing before ABC's Monday Night Football, it provided an in-depth look at the strategy and "Xs and Os" of that night's game. The program evolved into "NFL Matchup" over the years and still exists today, with one of the original co-creators — Greg Cosell — serving as its co-host.
