Y8 WRAITH (Library Book Club) off to the strongest of starts - delicious goodies baked by Katie and Amelia, and a choice of 3 fantasy future classics (Impossible Creatures by Katherine Rundell, Tyger @whatSFSaid & Skandar and the Unicorn Thief @annabelwriter) We even had napkins!

We are underway with #Bookbuzz! It's always a pleasure to start the school year with this activity for our Y7s. L4C were beautifully engaged with their 'speed-dating' session - all choosing a book to keep from the excellent titles selected by @Booktrust #WeLoveReadingForPleasure

What a pleasure to meet the @KingsStAlbans Y6 pupils and to be able to give them a taster of what the Senior School Library has to offer when they join us in September. Really delightful pupils who thoroughly engaged with our reading for pleasure activities! 📚

What a perfect morning in the Library with three Y7&8 classes visiting to choose books for the 'Genre discovery' reading challenge. L4B & L4D stayed on, resulting in delightful clusters of children reading throughout the Library. My idea of Heaven! #WeLoveReading 📚

What a fantastic shortlist - and perfect timing, as we are currently reading three of these in our Library book clubs!

We launched a 'Genre discovery' Reading Challenge on World Book Day 7th March. Y8 pupils Zofia, Henry, and Stella had completed the 12 categories less than three weeks later, whilst Y7 Penny and Amelia completed theirs over the Easter break! Wonderful reading role models all!📚
