Then, I felt her hand lightly brush against mine in the dark. I didn't pull away. Next thing, she whispered, "Are you just going to stand there?" That was it. The 15-minute timer outside ran out, people were knocking and shouting on the door, but we completely ignored them. By the time we finally opened the door, the game was over, but we had already started our own. Best dare of my life.

The whole room went "Oooooh!" and started cheering. Amaka stood up, rolled her eyes like she didn't care, but I saw her smiling. We walked into that tiny, pitch-black kitchen and closed the door. For the first two minutes, it was pure awkwardness. You could only hear the sound of the rain outside and our own breathing.
