Chrono Trigger e as Transições de Batalhas O padrão da indústria para os JRPGs na época era utilizar a transição de tela para os combates. Mas o "Dream Team" da Squaresoft decidiu fazer diferente. A decisão de game design mais legal do jogo foi fazer com que as batalhas acontecessem exatamente no mesmo lugar onde você estava explorando. Os inimigos já estavam visíveis no cenário e ao encostar neles, seus personagens apenas puxavam as espadas e a luta começava na hora. Décadas depois, revisitar Chrono Trigger é entender que o ápice do design não depende de gráficos realistas, mas sim de uma inteligência mecânica que respeita o fluxo de quem está jogando.

Xenoblade Chronicles 2 Switch 2 Edition screenshots! 60 FPS at 4k Resolution is nice, but what Xenoblade Chronicles 2 really needs is an update to the gacha mechanics. Every rare blade should be available for in-game purchase. I hope that's something they implement.

@benz145 I agree. I've been using a Valve Index since launch and had intended to upgrade whenever Valve's next headset came out, but I'm not really interested in the Frame and will just stuck with my Index for now.

My honest take: I can’t wait to use Steam Frame. But it needed to launch 3 years ago to move the needle on VR beyond hardcore users. The industry is in the midst of a transition to a new class of headset, and Steam Frame already looks dated at launch. I respect the people at Valve for building the thing they personally want to use. I think that ethos will make Frame beloved by a particular group of people, but that group probably isn’t going to grow substantially beyond where it’s at now.

Dear Microsoft, when I hit the Windows Start menu key and start typing a word to autocomplete a search, I never, ever, EVER want it to return results of something not on my computer. Ever. Like, ever, ever, never.

Any AI assets are used only as placeholders that are being replaced with manually created materials, says the Crazy Taxi: World Tour lead, Kenji Kanno, to Kotaku. “We used it as a reference, so our artists would pull up [and] generate some of their ideas, and then they would look at that, you know, generated image, and then they would draw the actual thing. So actual creators, everything from programming to assets, everything is made by an actual human. It’s only used as a reference for them to look at, and then they would actually create the actual thing that would go into the game.” SEGA is far from the first company to use AI for such purposes. While such publishers often face initial criticism, it seems that the tool is becoming the industry’s norm. #SEGA #CrazyTaxi

Regarding the generative AI usage in Crazy Taxi: World Tour. While the fact is concerning, especially regarding the future of other series like Sonic the Hedgehog, the extent of usage remains vague. In the description on the game’s Steam page, SEGA hints at the AI tools only being used for technical purposes and for routine tasks to help the creators concentrate on creative work. Brian Shea, the Executive Editor at Game Informer, revealed that the AI was used for some background assets of the project, which are still “subject to review by the development team”. This wording generally falls in line with many other publishers who disclosed such usage of AI recently, those being Capcom, PlayStation, Bandai Namco, Square Enix, and many others. #SEGA #SonicNews
