In another wild renewal of the Kirkland rivalry, senior Marcello Giusti slammed the door on the Ravens, recording the final 8 outs of the game to help the Kangs to a 4-3 win. Next up - North Creek on Wednesday! 4:30 PM @ Chambers Field

Lake Washington will open KingCo Crown league play on Monday, traveling to Eastlake to take on the Wolves as part of a JV/Varsity doubleheader. First pitch of JV set for 3:30’PM, with the Varsity game to follow at 6:15 PM.

…but LW immediately responded, scoring four of their own with RBIs from Shane Johnson, Malachi Toungate, Aidan Mehlberg, and Noah Kwon. The Kang bullpen took care of the rest, with seniors Memphis Henderson and Andrew Dean combining for 3 shutout innings to close things out.

Senior Gavin Johnson’s bases loaded double sparked a five-run second inning, and junior Kane Nishikawa allowed just one run in 4 innings of work, as Lake Washington downed Inglemoor, 9-1 on Saturday.

Senior right-hander Marcello Giusti came on to close and allowed a couple hits, but came up with a big strikeout to end the game and seal win #1 for Lake Washington. Quick turnaround for the Kangs, as they will take on Inglemoor Saturday as part of a V/JV/C team tripleheader!

Smithwick was efficient on this night, working 4 strong innings allowing just 3 first inning hits while striking out 3, picking up the win. Bainbridge would respond with 3 runs off ‘27 Oliver Stevens in the bottom of the 5th, but he would settle down and pitch a scoreless 6th.

Senior Mason Smithwick tossed four shutout innings, while fellow ‘25 Brady O’Cain doubled and drove in 2, as Lake Washington opened up the 2025 season with a 6-0 win over Bainbridge.
