@The_Blevins I can appreciate lands for the design space they offer compared to other considerably more bland resource systems but the idea of losing cuz I didn't draw my mana(or drew too much) really turns me off. What do lifelong magic players love about lands that we younglings do not get?

Hot take If you swap 2 and 3, I agree. I hate non-games in MTG BUT non-basic lands and being able to circumvent lands (dredge etc) is a cool design angle we miss out on. Non-games have deadened me to losing to variance, and has helped me get better
