He’s on a new med for 2 weeks and if it doesn’t work, mango will be going to his forever sleep.

Mango gets to go to the vet first thing this morning 😮‍💨 He’s got bleeding where he shouldn’t be. Also it’s crazy how mango is just about 2. How is that even possible.

@KatDestination No. That doesn't sound bad at all. People should know little pet hammies roughly have a max lifespan of 2 years and then check out.... and that's if they have a good owner that gives them all they need, like you.

To touch on a question I’ve been getting a bit over the last few months about when I’ll be rescuing hamsters again. The cold hard truth is that I don’t know. I have a ton going on right now with my current pets and my personal life. Things are getting really expensive as well

I’ll likely always have hamsters. This isn’t the end. But I’m sort of waiting for the current ones to move on (that sounds bad but I don’t mean it that way lol) before I decide to go and rescue another. Bc with current events, my capacity is MUCH lower than it was.

and I don’t feel comfortable bringing in more animals if I can’t comfortably pay for their needs, including vet care if they need it. Gas where I live is almost $6 a gallon and even getting somewhere to pick up a hamster is expensive.

Panda got her stitches out today and it went perfect. She can stop wearing her cone in a few days after her scabs are done. Pumpkin came along because we had to take her to try on some new jackets and we found a few that fit, yay! Pandas actual test results should come -

I just got a call about Pandas basic results and they said so far it’s looking like it’s benign inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). We’re doing one more test to rule out lymphoma or to tell us that it’s there. But the fact that it’s looking to be IBD has me very hopeful 😭
