A Pitcher in 2025 hits 94 mph... A Pitcher in 1992 hits 85 mph... Because of how radar guns changed the finish line, both pitchers threw the exact speed. It's one of the greatest optical illusions in sport.

@OhioWarhawks Former D1 pitcher here. Still coach HS & summer. Coaches must see from the 30k view & see guys who pitch big innings are command guys and are 87-90 with 3 pitches for strikes whenever they need them.

Talked to a couple d1 coaches today. Each were looking for guys 87-92 who can throw strikes and eat up innings. Are we starting to see a trend where pitchers become pitchers again.
