I’m going to be completely honest, DB C.J. Gardner-Johnson was not on my list of players who I thought the #Bills would target. (And correct me if I’m wrong, but I don’t remember seeing him on a lot of other people’s radars/wishlists either.) In my mind, I thought the Bills would go for more of a true free safety to let Cole Bishop play in the box more, particularly one that has ties with Jim Leonhard. Plus I would tend to glance over his name because I didn’t know if he’d fit in with the culture here due to his big personality/character. But I think this is Brandon Beane putting his first official stamp on this roster where he said I don’t want to sign a culture guy (or a choir boy as some people call it lol)… give me a dawg for Leonhard to work with on defense. And man, I respect that because that’s what this team has been missing, especially on defense.
