This is nothing but an attempt to browbeat UFBU. This is an attempt to divide the workforce in the Banks. We shall take up the matter during the next round of conciliation meeting. A better banking experience starts with a sustainable workweek. With acute staff shortages and mounting stress, 5-day banking is about public service and employee well-being, not a privilege. UFBU has been pressing since 2015; IBA has already recommended it to the Government (MoU 07-12-2023), and the 12th Bipartite/9th Joint Note (08-03-2024) records the Saturday holiday clause, pending approvals/clearances. Honour what’s on record. Approve all Saturdays off. #Implement5DayBanking
