Seeing Rec Room announce it's inevitable shut down is genuinely a low blow for me. One of 2 other games that got me through covid during my teenage years, and where a huge chunk of my active friend group came from. It really just sucks. I'll still have my memories, but I'll never be able to make any new ones. Hope everyone involved over at RR lands a new job and fast, tons of talented individuals there.

This is so devastating. Rec Room was a very special game for me and those quests are still some of the most fun things in a VR game. I hope someone backs up those and some creations for offline/ptp play because it's too magical to let die like this.

I had to give my kid the biggest hug when I told them this. Playing Rec Room with them has been a significant source of joy between us; I’ve even done it when in a long business trip to help them feel closer to me. I wish there was something we could do 😔

I'd say the reason TADC is for adults is not because it's dark or sexual but because it discusses feelings and experiences that only adults would understand Gangle feeling like a directionless cog in the machine forced to smile every minute is very unrelatable to a 12 year old

Rec Room is shutting down after 10 years. This game literally changed my life. Without it I 100% guarantee you I never would have made a YouTube channel I always hoped it would have the comeback of the century So many memories. So sad to see it go..
