Sorry to break it to you but your the problem is inside your coochie. You definitely have bacterial vaginosis (BV). You notice your fishy odour more after sex, not because the man's semen is bad, but because it reveals your underlying issue. Normally, the pH of vagina is acidic (around 3.8 to 4.5). When you have BV, anaerobic bacteria (like Gardnerella vaginalis) overgrow and your vagina's pH goes above 4.5. The reason why you notice the smell more after sex is because semen is slightly alkaline (7.2 to 8.0). When it enters the vagina, it temporarily raises the vaginal pH, making the environment less acidic. The higher pH causes the amines produced by BV bacteria to become more volatile (they "gas off" more easily), intensifying the fishy smell. Go and take care of yourself, gurl!
