Why are two black women inserted to buffer in a situation that doesn't involve them? Chappel Roan is getting called out for lack of responsibility and basic ethics, it has nothing to do with her identity?! If you cannot hold all famous people accountable, we have a problem.

Sooo Hitchcock actually wrote about that and it's a legit writing technique. As the viewer, you're not entitled to know everything before the end. The viewer is not omnipotent. We know as much as the characters know.
