LFC SHIELD Project

For years Action Canada has been pushing for universal coverage of contraception. This week, we joined Minister of Health @markhollandlib, key parliamentarians and leading advocates to announce contraception coverage under Canada’s new #UniversalPharmacare plan.

The Canadian Network on Hepatitis C (CanHep C) and Horizon Health New Brunswick are leading a project to get a snapshot of Hepatitis C care across the Atlantic region. The goal of this project is to identify actions that can be taken in the region towards Hep C elimination.

Life skills from comprehensive sex-ed can provide comfort long after youth have left school. Research shows that individuals who receive comprehensive sex-ed are better equipped to have healthy relationships, healthy bodies, and foster healthy communities.

Our Quadrangle NL outreach pamphlet have been translated into Inuttut and Innu-Aimun. We are planning to have copies in Mi’kmaq as well. You will see these two translated copies appearing at our community partners offices soon. Funded through the LGBTQ2 Community Capacity Fund.
