I broke up with a guy in college because when I was telling him about an audiobook on atheism i was reading he looked me dead in the eyes and said "if God doesn't exist then why wouldn't you just go around murdering people?" I consider this to be an equally serial killer-esque mindset. It is shocking how many people we hand microphones to who have no basic morality or human empathy. People who say these things should have no power, but instead we keep letting them replicate themselves inside our institutions.

Je pense que mon père (70ans) exploserait s’il devait faire le parcours du combattant que représente l’obtention d’un taff de nos jours. Le job qu’il a obtenu à 21 ans avec juste le bac et sans piston n’est désormais accessible qu’en bac + 5 école d’ingénieur

Yea, what people don’t realize is the lack of social media actually is what *made* it possible to cultivate a fanbase like this. Everyone tuned into the same radio stations. Everyone watched MTV. Everyone shopped in the same music and entertainment based stores. Now everyone is segregated into their own separate *algorithms*. It’s why none of even the most popular singers today have bases like the stars of the past.
