This morning we have made a new green political agreement in Denmark. We are creating a greener country with more climate-friendly agriculture, more forests, more nature, and a cleaner water environment. And we are doing it in a Danish way, where all parties have compromised and found long-term solutions. Agriculture is Denmark's largest CO2 emitter. This cannot continue. Therefore, we are the first country in the world to agree on a climate tax on agriculture and accelerate green initiatives, so we are more confidently on our way to achieving our 2030 climate target. The UAE has become the first MENA country to join CGIAR System Council as a funding member! This follows the announcement at COP28 that the UAE and the Gates Foundation would establish a $200 million partnership for Food Systems, Agriculture, and Climate Action. By joining the CGIAR, the UAE has become part of a global network dedicated to building food security, and climate adaptation by harnessing the power of agriculture research and innovation. أصبحت الإمارات العربية المتحدة أول دولة في منطقة الشرق الأوسط وشمال أفريقيا تنضم إلى مجلس نظام المجموعة الاستشارية للبحوث الدولية في الزراعة (CGIAR) كعضو ممول! في COP28، أعلنت شراكة بين دولة الإمارات ومؤسسة غيتس بقيمة 200 مليون دولار لأنظمة الغذاء والابتكار في الزراعة والعمل المناخي. من خلال الانضمام إلى المجموعة الاستشارية للبحوث الدولية في الزراعة (CGIAR)، أصبحت الإمارات جزءًا من شبكة عالمية مكرسة لبناء الأمن الغذائي والتكيف مع التغيرات المناخية عن طريق استغلال قوة البحث والابتكار في مجال الزراعة.
