#76thGrad - Transcripts @Makerere has commenced the issuance of transcripts for the 76th Graduation, ahead of the ceremony scheduled for 24–27 February 2026. The transcripts have been handed over to the respective College Registrars where the issuance will take place.

Transcripts for @MakerereLaw 76th Graduation are ready for issuance, except where outstanding matters exist. We remain committed to timely post-graduation services supporting LDC (Bar Course) registration and further graduate studies.

This morning, Dr. Anthony C.K. Kakooza formally handed over the Office of Head - Commercial Law Department to Dr. Ivan Engoru, in a handover exercise witnessed by the Dean, Prof. Ronald Naluwairo. In his remarks, the Dean extended appreciation to Dr. Kakooza for the dedicated service rendered during the tenure of office (2023 – 2025). Dr. Engoru was welcomed to the role and assured of the full support and cooperation of management and staff in execution of duties.

Training was held at the School of Law on 17th December for faculty and administrative staff. The training was two pronged: 1. Refresher on the Teaching and Learning policies of @Makerere facilitated by Prof. Mukadasi Buyinza - Academic Registrar, Makerere University and Mrs. Patience Rubabinda Mushengyezi - Deputy Registrar, Senate Division. In his remarks, Prof. Buyinza thanked Prof. Naluwairo - Dean, @MakerereLaw and team for organising the training. He said, 'The training provides a vital opportunity for staff to align their practices with the highest standards of governance, ethics, and operational efficiency'. 2. Using the Uganda Legal Information Institute (ULII) in teaching and research facilitated by His Worship Joel Wegoye . ULII is a free legal information service provided by the Law Reporting Unit of the Uganda Judiciary and a member of the global Free Access to Law community.

The School honoured staff departing @MakerereLaw. Prof. Twinomugisha Ben who retired from University Service and Dr. Anthony C. Kakooza who was recently appointed to serve as Deputy Chairperson , Leadership Code Tribunal. We appreciate their dedicated service and valued contribution to growth of the School.
