Trump's character, corruption, and cognitive trajectory were well-established. You could sooner criticize the scorpion for stinging. But the Republicans who ignored it, enabled him, and are, even now, still his sycophants deserve all condemnation and removal from public life.

We are the richest society in human history. We can have universal health care. We can have universal child care. We can have universal public higher ed. We can have a tax code that pulls back all the wealth that was stolen from the working class over the past 50 years.

Senator Whitehouse is right, and this clip really shows what’s going on. Here we have four nominees for the bench, people who want to become judges, and they’re not able to say that Biden won the 2020 election, for fear of being disapproved of. Think about that. Over 60 judges said the election was free and fair and that Trump lost. Even AG Bill Barr and Voter Czar Chris Krebs, who were appointed by Trump, said he lost. Do you understand the level of dissonance required for someone committed to the law, someone who wants to be a judge, to not be able to state that basic fact? It’s really sad. Orwell's 2 + 2= 5 if Big Brother says so. But I want to reinforce something important: brainwashing doesn’t erase a person’s core self. It creates dissonance.
