I-35 Southbound lanes are at a crawl right now from Lake Dallas Drive past Swisher. Seek alternative routes if possible.

Road conditions will be icy in the morning due to snow melting today and freezing temperatures tonight. Drive safely if you have to, but if you can, please staff home.

City facilities will be closed tomorrow, Wednesday, February 17. Public safety will still be available.

The City of Lake Dallas is closing all facilities on Tuesday, February 16 due to the Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT) emergency status during the ongoing winter storms. Emergency Services will remain available.

A Winter Storm Watch will be in effect from late Saturday night through Monday afternoon for the entire region. Please get your necessities early, weatherize your home, keep your animals warm or indoors, and avoid travel this weekend as much as possible.

In observance of the Presidents' Day Holiday, City facilities will be closed February 15. Emergency services will still be available during this time by calling 911 or the non-emergency number at 940-349-1600 and selection Option 9.

Next week, (February 8 - 12) the City is installing reflective delineators at the intersection of Overly Drive and I-35E to assist the public in navigating access to the frontage road. Please be aware of barricades and flaggers at this intersections.
