@kab604 I own $gpn not $fisv but I think the argument here for $fisv is that it trades at 6ish times an EPS # that has already been reset (margin down 100s of bps from peak) whereas $gpn and $fis trade at roughly similar valuation but still face potential reset

Mormon: What do I need to be saved? Evangelical: Do you believe in Jesus? Mormon: Yes. Evangelical: The Jesus of the Bible? Mormon: Yes. Evangelical: That Jesus is the Son of God? Mormon: Yes. Evangelical: That He died for your sins? Mormon: Yes. Evangelical: That He rose from the dead? Mormon: Yes. Evangelical: That He’s the only way to salvation? Mormon: Yes. Evangelical: Then why don’t you believe in Jesus? Mormon: …I just said I do. Evangelical: No, not that Jesus. Mormon: Which Jesus? Evangelical: The Biblical Jesus. Mormon: The one who is the Son of God, died for sins, rose from the dead, and is the only way to salvation? Evangelical: Yes. Mormon: That’s the one I believe in. Evangelical: No, you believe in a different Jesus. Mormon: How is He different? Evangelical: Because you don’t believe in the right Jesus. Mormon: Which Jesus is the right Jesus? Evangelical: The Biblical Jesus. Mormon: … Evangelical: … Mormon: We’ve been standing in this same circle for three hours, haven’t we? Evangelical: That’s exactly what someone who doesn’t believe in the Biblical Jesus would say.

@SamualGodIsGood @Primary_Pianist People are individuals and will have their own opinions, but fundamental doctrines within the church are consistent. That consistency is helped by modern prophets and apostles, as well as by the American testament.

@LecatesChris @Primary_Pianist That's really my point. Mormons all interpret the Bible individually. One elder of LDS I spoke to said the 5 stones that David had for killing Goliath were the five virtues of faith. Whatever that meant.

@SamualGodIsGood @Primary_Pianist If they were never given the opportunity, they won’t be penalized for it. And it is not absolutely necessary to read the other testament. It is just very helpful.

@LecatesChris @Primary_Pianist Matthew 25:21 How can the people of Jesus's day be called good and faithful servant when they get to Heaven and stand before him if they weren't given the other testament of Jesus that Joseph Smith claimed with the BoM?

@SamualGodIsGood @Primary_Pianist I don’t understand the first part of this. But I agree you cannot rely on someone claiming “an angel told me.” That is why it is recommended to actually read the account and pray for guidance to know if it is true.

@LecatesChris @Primary_Pianist The gospel of salvation was already in the Americas when Joseph Smith was alive. The United States was literally started by Christians fleeing religious persecution in England.

@SamualGodIsGood @Primary_Pianist No I am not saying that. It was an existing fold (part of the house of Israel), and he wanted all of the fond to receive the word and have consistent doctrine.

@LecatesChris @Primary_Pianist ...one fold and one shepherd. What you are saying is Jesus created a new fold of LDS in the Americas with a different doctrine, not combining all his sheep into one fold as John 10:16 states.

@SamualGodIsGood @Primary_Pianist Not a “new” testament. Just the same testament he gave to Jerusalem. Clearly his apostles back then would not have the capability of traveling all over the world to preach.

@SamualGodIsGood @Primary_Pianist He initially goes to the spirit world and to heaven, but then he goes to visit the lost sheep. Mark is not inconsistent with this. And his visits to the lost sheep do not seem to be exclusive to the Americas. He likely went to other places but we don’t have record of those visits

@SamualGodIsGood @Primary_Pianist That is one interpretation but I don’t think it is the correct one. It is pretty explicitly that he himself will do it. Also, when he refers to his “sheep,” he is not referring to the world as a whole (including the gentiles). It is clear to me he is referring to Israel.

@SamualGodIsGood @Primary_Pianist It’s referring to the lost, scattered sheep of the house of Israel. Even if it was referring to gentiles, which it isn’t, there is no reason to suppose it would exclude people in the Americas.
