Everyone loves the dream - but far fewer love the commitment. Many are willing to sacrifice a little🤏, but draw a line when the work becomes hard or inconvenient. The very best understand that it takes what it takes - there is no ⏱️ if your plan is to meet & exceed your dreams

The person you become through consistent effort is worth more than any resolve that effort produces. It manipulates your identity and changes who you are. Show up - even when you don’t want to!

Failing to prepare is preparing to fail. No ‘my bad’s, ‘I got you’s’ or ‘next time’s’ work when success is on the line. At that point it’s about the results. The best realize they must take advantage of their opportunities to grow📈

In my experience - those who truly ‘want to’ find a way to make it happen. Those who just want to tell you they ‘will’ find an excuse. Look within to find your purpose & develop your commitment to your cause

If your word is your bond & relationships matter - we’ll never sell anyone a🍋by embellishing, lying or talking up anyone/anything that isn’t true. Those who put in the work and exceed the standard never have to worry about their good name or their rep. Your word is your bond

It’s not ‘cool’ to try. Inevitably try and fail Many soon realize they have to buy-in & try if they want what they claim they want It’s no longer little league. Those who succeed are those who commit to trying, failing & improving! Don’t wait until it’s too little, too late!

As an AD, we made a rule: if a student-athlete quits mid-season, they can’t join preseason activities or the next season’s team until the season they quit is over. Purpose: hold athletes accountable to their commitment.

Follow those who work - and in turn encourage YOU and to work. you’ll find A LOT of folks who talk and tell you what you want to hear. Seek those who push you above and beyond your current capabilities day in and day out
