A 9 year contract is batshit crazy, honestly. There’s a reason it isn’t the done thing. He could pick up a serious injury and not get to the same level. Or a Dele Ali- style loss of form. He could lose motivation if he wants to leave Chelsea down the line and give the bare minimum. This makes no sense to me.

I got stranded at Victoria a few years ago and ended up re-enacting planes, trains and automobiles with @Fernando_Duarte to get back to Brighton. 12 hours of travel and numerous modes of transport ended with a whisky at 7am and a story to tell. Stay strong kids, it’s not all bad
