We were issued BRAND NEW M4A1s in Iraq. FN Herstal stamped lowers, no US Govt acceptance marks. For reasons. We decided to see of we could make one malfunction. No lubrication AT ALL. In the desert. I'm sure it was well over 100 degrees that day. We put over 400 rounds through full auto with no failures to fire. We stopped because the barrel was blue and smoking and we thought rounds would start cooking off in the chamber if we pushed our luck. Also, that did not shoot out the barrel. Accuracy was fine after our little torture test. Gotta love an M4.

@Liberty_Gabe @dragonflyranch5 If your looking for fun, PSA got some great deals for less then 1k. PSA has been getting better with their AKs, but if you want something really good, get a Zastava, you can find them for exactly 1k if you catch it in time.

I wanted to tease him a little with a series of multiple tweets with photos of my nonAR guns to reel him in, and then finish up with some test footage shooting some AR-15 machine guns at work saying "but theyre all nowhere close as good as an AR-15 lmao" but he started getting bombarded with comments and stopped replying lmao I do enjoy a solid AK as well, just waiting on the perfect deal to come my way since I'm not in a rush

I don't think anyone's discussing competition guns in general tbh. Seems to me the original OP was bad mouthing the entire platform as a whole. Seems like the original OP isn't aware of how far the commercial market has come, especially in the last 20 years. If youre acknowledging many commercial companies offer AR-15s that can meet or exceed the performance of a military AR-15, then I dont disagree. Just wanted to make sure I didnt misunderstand what you were saying🤝

Yea, not all ARs are made to the same quality, but I wasn't talking about budget ARs. You can get a good AR that meets mil spec for less then 800, but what I mean is, ARs can be customized for anything, but a comp gun won't work well in a war time conditions, just like a "war time gun", won't give you the full benefits you can get from a comp gun. Same goes to AKs. People think it's just black and white when it comes to AKs and ARs but it's really not, been working on both for a while. Both are good, both can do the same thing, the hard truth is, you just gotta buy one from a good company or build it yourself and train train train with it, and that goes for both rifles. Also for me, I really couldn't care about peoples personal stories about this or that gun, I'm simply speaking from a technical point, just to let you know. I will say, I am a little biased to the AK, I simply love it. Been making them for a bit now, but I still love my AR, and I agree alot that if you feed it shitty ammo, it does perform like ass, but thats any gun. Never feed your guns crap, feed it good brothers and I like it for one reason, just cheap ammo, but once the war in Ukraine is over 7.62 gonna be cheap again, but Im getting away from the point, I hope this helps you understand what I'm trying to say man. Just making sure I didnt misunderstand you, because your opening is a bit confusing with the last line about buying a good AR-15. Did you mean to say that most common budget AR-15s on the market aren't of the same quality as an M4A1, but there are some companies that do offer comparable quality?

Not really fudd lore, the majority of American AKs really are garbage. Incorrectly cut mag wells, front trunnion improperly fitted, or receivers incorrectly fitted and poor rivets. Thats why I recommend our costumers to buy Zastava, or try to find a good import. It’s a sad reality, but America isn’t that good when it comes to making AKs, PSA, has been getting better, but their AKs, aren’t even real AKs, not because it aint “Russian” but because receiver is actually different, unless you got a imported AK from PSA, they got ok prices, but best bet, Zastava, as of rn, they are the best AKs in the US market.

@dragonflyranch5 AK-47 reliability is boomer fudd lore. Apparently if your AK isn't built in a specific Russian factory made of babushka steel it is junk and will literally destroy itself
