@angelleVT i think it can be obnoxious if ur doing @/everyone like every single day or multiple times a day, and there are for sure some notifications that don’t necessarily need it, but i think for the important stuff (going live, updates, etc) it’s necessary

This is what I was thinking too! I was looking at my server and noticing a lot of ppl don’t have roles selected which defats one of the huge reasons to have discord server; to notify your community when you’re live and give them updates, etc! I was once told that @/everyone was a very obnoxious thing to do, and just makes ppl want to leave your server, but what’s the point of joining in the server if you don’t want to interact with the streamer and community? !!

Genuine question, but is it better to @/everyone in your discord when going live or making announcements or is it better to set up an announcement role?
