I believe everyone has a right to their opinion, but what they don't have the right to do is attack those who enjoy it, but it's the hate hurled at the actors that really gets to me, and I've seen a lot of it on here! As for asking for it, I want is new trek, not prequels!

Perhaps you don’t see any difference between the spirit of the previous shows and this current show, but the discerning fans who are able to think from multiple perspectives and multiple levels of analysis are quite aware that the utter tripe that is being peddled is absolutely not Star Trek in any way, shape, or form. It’s a corruption, at best, of what came before, a disfigured and twisted facsimile with no substance and an ideological rot that pervades its entire necrotic carcas. If it were food, it would poison rather than fortify; it lacks entertainment value and is entirely devoid of any kind of a soul that could inspire the next generation of fans to strive for a good life. Its decline, apology, and elevation of identity over character, novelty over hard work. Anyone mimicking the characters as role models will find life becomes more difficult over time as they build their self-esteem around fragile surface attributes rather than the deep structures that beget the timeless principles that have allowed the human race to excel through increasing competence. I suggest you consider a number of things: - No one needs a kick up the a*** for speaking their mind or choosing to avoid a TV show. This is freedom of choice and speech in action. - Had the show been well balanced and not entirely polarised (and polarising), it would have gained sufficient viewership to allow for multiple seasons. - If anyone is to blame for its demise, it’s the cast, crew, creatives and network that produced it. They produced something that had a mass market budget yet a niche market appeal. You liked it, and I had to say fair enough because we’re all different, so I am sad for you individually. Personally, I hope season 2 is canned because I see it as that culturally divisive, but if they air it, I shall at least be happy for you that you got a little more of something you value, even if I don’t. Part of me has my fingers crossed that they will.🤞

Looking at the moon has taken on new inspiration with the Artemis II flight. They are on their way back.
