Logos That Go Hard

Hello everyone. A 🧵: I deeply apologize for not being as active on this account as I used to be. Things have been kinda busy for me lately mainly thanks to college work, so I slipped away from posting new logos here.

Here's what the new Paramount Animation logo actually looks like (someone recorded this before Smurfs). The transition is WAY smoother than I expected, since they altered the text and stars during the "Animation" portion. Reminds me of what the TMNT movie did.

From 1997 to 2007, Aardman was partnered with DreamWorks resulting in three animated films and one film that ended up being canceled. And it's all one big crazy story. Anyway, here's my first video essay detailing How a Deal Was Flushed Away. Link in the post below.

My friend Ethan (AKA Bumpy Gaming) just posted a new video (which I got to view beforehand) talking about the confusion of Paramount Animation, mainly in how its brand is inconsistently used that it leads to confusion on what makes a “Paramount Animation” film. Check it out!

Since today is the 20th anniversary of Disney's FastPlay, here's the logo of Nickelodeon's scrapped copy of the concept dubbed "Nick Skip". It was speculated to have been scrapped due to the infamous reputation of FastPlay.

Fun fact: The Marvel logo received a standing ovation at the world premiere of Spider-Man according to one of the film’s producers!

Fireworks Pictures (2000-2003)

I watched a really good documentary video about the history of Touchstone Pictures, and I learned that there were 1,200 name ideas for Disney’s new adult film label, and while Touchstone became the top choice, Silver Wind Films was second place.

Columbia Tristar

If Sony had kept the movie rights to Sonic the Hedgehog, they would have 100% included a Sonic ring as the letter o in “Sony” which transitions into the Columbia logo.

No thoughts, only Qubo. Dropping some high-quality Qubo bumpers for y’all to enjoy. Who cares about compression.

Does anyone have that logo where you know you’ve seen it before and can remember certain aspects but you cannot for the life of you figure out the name? For me, I remember a film logo with comets and a triumphant fanfare. It played after a movie with Latin music in the credits.

And now in the age of streaming, most kids wouldn’t be able to see the cool production logos because they would just go to the next episode either automatically or manually. Makes me glad I grew up in the time of split screen credits rather than the corner ones they do now.

Yes, I find it confusing that the Paramount Pictures print logo was used instead of the Paramount Animation one, yet the animation division is credited for making Transformers One. Can they at least make a cool variation of the ANIMATION logo for the movie itself?

Here’s the concept image of the Paramount logo that was planned for My Little Pony: A New Generation (done by Alvaro Ramirez) An animated version wasn’t used due to Netflix picking up the movie.

Is it possible for someone to acquire the Funimation trademark from Sony so that it can start over and return to being a standalone anime dub studio? It did happen with DreamWorks Pictures. It should happen with Funimation.
