The BBC somehow persuaded UEFA, Barcelona and Liverpool to push back the kick off time by 15 mins for their semi-final at the Nou Camp, so 23 million Eastenders viewers could find out who shot Phil Mitchell.
What a time to be alive.

@LouisMay07 That’s so silly 😭😭😭 I’m curious now so I’m gonna have a play around but the itvx app alone is just so bad which is why I never attempt it. I always find it so be so laggy and takes FOREVER when you want to search something

I really want to know if they get the same traction on streaming because I know for a fact in my house, my siblings have not once gone looking for citv shows on streaming whereas the channel was almost always on. Like now, if they’re gonna stream they go for Netflix or Disney

It's depressing that kids just don't have their own channels anymore. I guess it's because everything is more accessible online. But when I was a kid Citv and CBBC were such a big part of my childhood, coming home after school to watch my favourite shows. It's just so sad.

@Tweetee_x Nope- you either have to manually find it under ‘kids’ in categories or scroll right down to the bottom of the home screen. I don’t go searching for it myself- but it is really bad that it’s not first option you see if they wanna push it so badly by dropping linear.

@GuyLambertUK @lisanandy Definitely! I’ve just sent her an email about this- while I may not be the target demographic for children’s TV anymore, I want the new generation to have the best programming possible- they need good stuff, not brain rot on YouTube!

If you want good children’s TV, demand it. Write to @lisanandy and demand it. Posting on here doesn’t do any good.
Few people know how much of a crisis there is in British TV right now. Zero politicians actually care.
If you want to keep TV going, it needs public support.

Gutted about this… CITV was amazing for a kid who only had Freeview. Cartoons like Pokemon, Horrid Henry and Grizzly Tales, live action like Jungle Run. Kids today are missing out massively- I urge ITV to change this decision and keep CITV for the new generation. #SaveCITV

CITV is coming to an end, for good. After the channel closed in 2023, there’s been a CITV block on ITV2 every day, but this ends on 10th April. The new home for children’s content will be on ITVX Kids.

11 years ago this month, the Club Penguin Office in Brighton, UK closed down. It opened in April 2008 and operated as a workplace for 7 years. Moderators such as Daffodaily5, Loustik005, & Federflink1 worked here. It likely sadly closed due to declining membership numbers.

According to Virgin TV Go, The CITV block on ITV2 is officially ending on 10th April this year (programming will be moving to ITVX. This is means the end of CITV brand after 40 years.
And no, this is not an April Fools prank.
