Tensions Flare at Dublin Fuel Protest as PBP TD Paul Murphy is Chased Away Frustration boiled over on O’Connell Bridge around 3pm today during nationwide fuel price protests, as People Before Profit TD Paul Murphy was chased away by sections of the crowd. Video from SnDmedia shows Murphy surrounded by angry protesters amid the chaos, with palpable anger directed at the left-wing politician despite shared cost-of-living concerns. The demonstrations, involving convoys of tractors and lorries, have disrupted traffic across Ireland over rising fuel costs linked to global events. Protesters demand government action on excise duties and taxes. The incident highlights raw tensions on the ground as economic pressures mount. No injuries reported. Gardaí are monitoring the ongoing protests.

Stephen Kerr was one of the first journalists in Ireland to recognise what was happening during the 'pandemic' had little to do with Public Health. He was one of the few journalists who recognised that Lockdowns were costing lives. He was one of the first journalists to recognise that gene based Covid vaccines are a crime against humanity. Most importantly of all, he had the courage to do the right thing and take a stand for truth. That he has been arrested is of no surprise, and in these days of darkness and political malfeasance his arrest merely confirms that he is an honest journalist with integrity. Stand tall Stephen -the truth can be bullied, suppressed, and intimidated, but its roots defy the sheers, and it will grow back even stronger! Thank you, Stephen - for your courage and your inspiration. gript.ie/jmg-stephen-ke…)

@gavpepper85 Gavin, do you think people with criminal records or over 3 years claiming job seekers benefit, should have their social welfare entitlements cut?

In Ireland Irish families can be on a social housing list for nearly 20 years and do nothing about it. In Ireland you can come here seeking international protection and if you don't get any Accommodation you can then end up getting awarded damages in the High Court. Make It Make Sense.

@albertdolan_ You are better off not working, not being married, having a limp and a litter of children in Ireland, than you are to get up off your arse and doing a days work.

He’s also been given a council house in Coolock according to his counsel at a previous hearing I sat in on. Not sure how someone with 51 previous convictions qualifies.

Brandon Shumba appeared on RTÉ tv show for having a baby with a white woman in 2019 Today receives a suspended sentence for supplying cocaine to a woman who later died It's no wonder they travel through so many countries to get to treasure Ireland. A man has admitted supplying cocaine to a woman who was later found dead from a cardiac arrest in her apartment. Gardaí discovered the drug next to her body and established from phone records that it had been bought for her by Brandon Shumba and delivered to her home. Although Shumba (26) provided the drugs, prosecutors accepted he was not "ultimately responsible" for the woman's death. Judge Treasa Kelly spared him jail, giving him a three-month suspended sentence Shumba, an electrical engineering student of De Verdon Place, Malahide Road, Dublin 17, pleaded guilty to possession of cocaine for sale or supply. A garda sergeant told Dublin District Court the woman was found dead in her apartment at The Plaza, Shangan Road, Ballymun, Dublin, on July 28, 2024. On searching the scene, gardaí found a small amount of cannabis and cocaine beside her body. It was discovered she had been in contact with the accused who had bought two bags of cocaine for her. They were delivered to her apartment, she had used the drugs and suffered a cardiac arrest. The judge noted that the gardaí saw from text messages that the woman got the drugs from the accused. The sergeant said according to gardaí, the drugs may have contributed to her death but she had sought them out and there was nothing to suggest they were substandard or that anything untoward happened". Shumba had previous convictions for offences including assault, but none for drugs charges. The woman who obtained the drugs had tragically died, there were "medical conditions" and "it's never been the contention of the State that Mr Shumba is ultimately responsible for the tragic passing of the deceased," his barrister said. He was solely charged with supplying the drugs and it was not a situation where he should be penalised for any of the surrounding circumstances, he said Progress could have been made earlier on the case but due to the nature of what happened, the investigation was lengthy and phone records had to be gone through, the barrister added Judge Kelly noted the accused had pleaded guilty. She suspended the three-month sentence for a year.
