One of my favorite things we’ve implemented this year is our school wide Morning Meeting. Our day starts together in the gym where we have a morning greeting, say the pledge, and sing the National Anthem. We celebrate birthdays and talk about our character word of the week. Then we end with our school chant. It’s the best way to spend the first ten minutes of our school day! Here’s a clip of us singing the National Anthem together. ❤️🤍🩵 I love our school.

We’re more likely to empathize with those “like us” so let’s help kids step out of their comfort zones. Exposing kids to differences-gender, race, religion, beliefs, etc-from an early age is another way to help them learn #empathy & to think WE, not ME. #thrivers
