Today, Modelling and Simulation Hub, Africa (MASHA) proudly joined the global community in commemorating the 𝑰𝒏𝒕𝒆𝒓𝒏𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏𝒂𝒍 𝑫𝒂𝒚 𝒐𝒇 𝑾𝒐𝒎𝒆𝒏 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝑮𝒊𝒓𝒍𝒔 𝒊𝒏 𝑺𝒄𝒊𝒆𝒏𝒄𝒆.

We are proud of Gladstone’s contributions to malaria research.

Models accounting for mosquito development led to extended periods of transmission in warmer climates, while ecological models showed that the conducive environment created by warmer temperatures following periods of rainfall posed the risk of outbreaks.

The 11th International Conference on Health, Medicine, and Life Sciences, organized by MEDLIFE2025, was recently held in Wuhan, China, from November 23 to 25, 2025.This conference was held in conjunction with the 12th International Conference on Biology and Life Sciences.

We are proud of Kounoumi’s contribution to advancing malaria modelling and operations research for public health in Africa.

She presented her research titled “Exploring Pathways for Malaria Control and Elimination in the Northern Regions of Benin: A Metapopulation Modelling Approach.”

Our PhD fellow, Kounoumi Sara Medekon, attended the Operations Research Techniques and Applications School for Africa (ORTASA), held from 10th to 13th November.

We are proud of Chilo’s contributions to malaria

Using machine learning techniques, his research identified new distinct malaria transmission archetypes across health facility catchment areas, with each representing unique combinations of ecological, epidemiological, socioeconomic, and intervention-related factors.

Our PhD fellow, Chilo Chiziba, is attending the American Society of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene (ASTMH) Conference in Toronto, where he presented some of his latest work. research.
