Funny thing about this show is that it barely qualifies as Toku.
It's more like just a Sci Fi series just set in shibuya, though it does have some staff and actors from Rider shows some of which would work on Kabuto.

@Petsuchan It's ridiculous to say this about the movie. While the movie is not as much of his vision for CCA as BC is, a lot of what defines him and such is very much in tact.
I say this as someone who prefers BC to the movie.

We must be a bit careful.
The change regarding "Beltorchika" is likely a decision from the production committee I.E the credited investors: Shochiku, Nagoya TV, Sotsu, and Bandai.

@Petsuchan The age games I should play, I've heard good things and they seem like some of the better gundam games and certainly more unique than most.
Afaik as Level-5's other stuff goes, Danball and Rogue Galaxy seemed good.

@MD_Chaos4 Haven't played the Inazuma 11 games just yet, but I really liked the designs and animation on that TV adaptation.
For AGE, I at least have played the PSP game as well.
But I ended up liking both of thier looks.

I feel like with passing age, Gundam Age's designs and Level-5 Aesthetics have really stood the test of time.
You could tell it was a collab between them and sunrise, and it worked.
The Vegan designs are among Ishigaki's best, same with the stuff by ebikawa.

@GreyXSJ Age feels like an earnest effort rather the blatantly commercial product that newer gundam shows are. The difference between Age and something like WFM and Gqux is night and day.

@Petsuchan I was more referring to Age's Aesthetics than just level-5 really.
The only Level-5 games I've played is White knight chronicles, which is decent though a stark contrast from their other games visually and megaton musashi which was boring.

Watched an episode of Inazuma 11 that aired here on SABC 2 this afternoon. Character designs and colours are strong. Seems like a strong OLM animated adaptation. This is still a 100% legit, TV license paid, South African bunny ears antennae analogue broadcast I receive in 2025.

I feel like the hate age gets is mostly because it's the kids anime gundam show, so therefore it's a lot easier to bash it on that metric, esp after Seed and 00.
That doesn't mean it's flawless, but it's the most genuine attempt at doing a kids gundam anime.

I still feel it's an unfairly underappreciated show overall for it's merits. While it did fumble towards the end, It's no worse than how later gundam series did it, and it did manage to salvage itself with Memory of Eden.
