“Day 12 of the Strike: This is not where we want to be—but we remain here because the future of this university, and our students, matters. Still here. Still ready. Still committed to a healthy, hopeful Laurentian.” @lufappul@LaurentianU
End of Week 2 of Strike: advancing the narrative “LUFA’s proposals were never fixed or final—they were intentionally tabled to enable real bargaining and resolution. LUFA reaffirmed to the President our readiness to return to the bargaining table.” @LaurentianU@lufappul
“Day 8 of Strike: Still here. Still hopeful. Still committed to our students and communities. The path forward is still at the table. We are ready for meaningful, respectful talks.” @LaurentianU@lufappul
Week 2 of Strike: Still here. Still united. Still standing for a hopeful, healing university. This action is about care, future generations, and the restoration of academic balance. @lufappul@LaurentianU
When our university faced insolvency, faculty leaned in.
We worked hard to ensure that programs continued, that students were supported, & the institution remained standing. Now, we are on strike. Dear President and Board of Governors: Lean in with us @lufappul@LaurentianU
Yesterday’s picket captain training was an absolute success. The solidarity and commitment from our 24 captains is nothing short of outstanding.
We are LUFA!
It is official. As of 12:01am, LUFA members will officially be on strike for a better, stronger university. 📢
Together we will win the contract we deserve. 🪧
