@AngelicaOung But to be honest, the credit goes more to the successful governance and implementation of institutions. Then educating the population and finding them jobs. Economists think about how people react in different economic conditions and distribution of goods/money.

Btw in 1995 Taiwan was about 2 percent of Chinas population but 40% of its GDP. Today Taiwan is still about 2% of the mainlands population but GDP is only about 5%. Taiwan did not stay stagnant. Our GDP roughly tripled since 1995. Rather it’s China’s robust and sustained economic expansion that is unprecedented. Despite this, not a single Nobel Prize has been awarded to a Chinese economist.

Japan had bigger economy than the rest of Asia in 1995 Today's Japanese economy is smaller than 3 Chinese coastal provinces

@EuropeanPan They are not trying to actively replace natives, but they are actively trying to maintain their power which is based on having abundant labour. The last time this happened was the black death, severe labour shortages shifted power balance dynamics.

@EuropeanPan Power flows to where is scarcity. The current system is based on abundant labour, thus power is with elites. Labour shortages will cause power to flow away from elites, so the current system is trying to preserve itself (maintain abundant labour).

Notice that this only includes the first and second generation. After changing the official definition from "native/non-native" to "without/with migration background", the Dutch state decided to count the third generation simply as natives, thus masking the actual rate of population replacement. We have never claimed that population replacement is an organised elite plan, but it sure looks like "the elites" are extremely keen on letting it run its course. Why else would they mask real numbers, try to prevent people from talking about it, even persecute those who do, while also allowing relentless mass immigration?
Visegrád 24@visegrad24

🇳🇱 The Prime Minister of the Netherlands, Rob Jetten, calls population replacement a “conspiracy theory” that “comes straight out of the darkest periods of Europe.” This is the share of the population with a foreign background, including 1st and 2nd generation, in the Netherlands: Nationally: 28.6% Amsterdam: 59.6% Rotterdam: 56.5% The Hague: 59.9% Utrecht: 40.3% Dutch people have become a minority in three major Dutch cities.

I find the establishment hysteria about my position on deporting foreign child rapists and their accomplices quite remarkable. If a Pakistani woman was fully aware that her husband has been gang-raping dozens of white English girls, but failed to report it? Or do anything? Then yes, she should be deported along with her scumbag husband. To be entirely honest, deportation is the moderate option for the rapist and it's one a Restore Britain Government may well ignore for a harsher and more permanent alternative. We know that this has been happening for decades, across almost every town and city in Britain. Everywhere. It continues today. If a foreigner comes to our country and facilitates child rape, a Restore Britain Government will deport them before their feet touch the ground. How many end up leaving is secondary - the principle is what matters. If don't agree, fine. Vote Tory, Labour or Reform. Farage has made his objection to our policy very clear. There are plenty of options for you. If you do agree? Then there is now a democratic route for you to take. Restore Britain.

@DeadHedgeFlow @MichaelAArouet The system stole soo much from you, that in order to keep your sanity you had to steal something from the system x.com/vtchakarova/st…
Velina Tchakarova@vtchakarova

During the days of Soviet bloc socialism, life was defined by omnipresent scarcity. Everything—from food to basic necessities—was in short supply, except for those at the top of the Communist Party hierarchy. For ordinary people, survival often meant bending the rules in a daily basis. Everyone had to steal what they could from their workplace, not out of greed, but as a means of coping with a system that seemed determined to grind them down. A university professor once shared a stark example with me. In their work environment, there wasn’t much to take. No one had access to any essential goods. But still, they felt the need to reclaim something, anything, to avoid being completely crushed by the system. So, they resorted to stealing chalk—the chalk they used to write on the blackboard during lectures. It wasn’t about the chalk itself; it was about preserving a shred of dignity in a society where absolutely everything, even the simplest tool of their existential barter, felt out of reach. It was their quiet rebellion against a system that gave them so little and demanded so much in return. In stealing chalk, they weren’t just taking a mundane object; they were trying to take back a sense of control over their lives, however small.

Can someone plead explain why so many people still take socialism seriously? It has always failed badly, every single time leading to bitter misery and poverty. No exceptions. Why is it still so popular? Don’t people pay attention in history classes?

@RealDianeYap Immigration is an attempt to keep wages low, so I am up for proposing solutions that will allow wages of workers to rise as opposed to keeping them poor. The old system was built around cheap and abundant labour, which is no longer the case so power will have to shift.

If you're against non-white immigration, just be honest and say so. There's no need to make up reasons about personalities or traits or competition for your children. You don't like people who aren't white, and that's your prerogative. No need to lie about it.

@Antikeburg I think you need a capitalist system where you are rewarded for your contribution to society and actively punished for stealing from it.

@Antikeburg Well at least, that is how capitalism should be. I don't think it currently is like this, but that is a side point. It currently has sort of resulted in a world where stealing by use of fantastical words actually results in higher wealth, not actual hard work.

The most important issue about capitalism for developed nations is that Humans are social creatures while unregulated capitalism promotes individualism. Essentially that’s in my opinion the challenge of the next decade.

Restore Britain is under brutal assault by the establishment. Listen to me when I say this - they want us gone. Everything will be thrown at us - false allegations, dishonest polling, media hysteria, vile personal attacks. They’ve already tried to put me in prison. It will all keep coming and coming. It is going to get a lot worse, the more support we gain. The establishment is getting very nasty with us. Good. It shows we are making progress. Ask yourself why? Why do they want to destroy us? Why do they react with such fury whenever ordinary British people begin organising outside their control? Because Restore Britain is not going to merely reform the establishment - we are going to destroy it. The system will be dismantled, the state will be torn apart and rebuilt as one that serves the people it always should have done - the British people. The permanent Westminster machine that has grown rich and comfortable while Britain became poorer, weaker, more divided and less safe is biting back. Is that any surprise? All-powerful bureaucrats who have lived the most comfortable life for decades in shadowy Westminster corridors will have it all taken from them. Many will even go to prison. That’s what will happen if Restore Britain takes power. They do not want that. They will do everything to stop that from happening. We are already seeing it. Reform, the Tories, Labour. With them, it all continues - their club is safe. Different slogans. Same people. Same outcome. Same decline. Is it any wonder they hate Restore Britain so much? The establishment understands it can accept a turquoise blue. Control it, use it. They know they can’t with Restore Britain, and that is why they want us removed. Because we are not here to ‘reform’. It is too late for that. The country is too far gone. The old political consensus is dead. The system has failed too many people, in too many places, for too long. We are here to restore Britain itself its borders, its safety, its confidence, its freedoms, its competence, its sense of who we are. And no amount of smears or intimidation will stop us doing that. Makerfield will show Britain the way. If you want change. And I mean real change, radical change, unprecedented change. Join us. Join the party. Join Restore Britain. Get your country back.

@ahmedsohail If you want wages to go up, you need less workers, so less immigration achieves that. So why does the left-wing support keeping wages low?

If you want immigration to go down you need to increase fertility rates. In order to increase fertility rates you need to provide accessible childcare. That is why I support free childcare for everyone. Some 'right wing' problems have 'left wing' solutions.

@MichaelAArouet @tonymmorley Note, stop growing and maintain certain size, not arguing for "degrowth". Ultimately, it is against unsustainable growth, as opposed to growth. But competition will always drive us to be more on unsustainable side... I think arguments against growth are from there.

@MichaelAArouet @tonymmorley Once your body grows to a certain size, it stops. Getting bigger than their requires you to become fat. But then again, this is about bloat. So there is point when you need to stop and learn to balance. We don't have infinite resources, so need to stop growth at somepoint.

Can someone please explain why the left is so against nuclear power and promotes funny degrowth narratives instead? If they cared about climate change, they would push clean nuclear energy. Or is it simply not about climate at all?
