Not saying this is currently happening, but if I wanted to invade a country across an ocean, I’d probably first ally myself with a sympathizing countries politicians across the ocean next to it. Id get them to freely fly my invading party to that continent without being detected under the guise of asylum. I’d then slowly cross into the country I’m trying to invade and eventually get a political majority in a town close to that border crossing. I’d then take over the law enforcement and then start easily smuggling in all my invaders quietly then start to disperse them through the enemy country, right before I make my real power move….just a hypothetical of course!
