Can we be clear about what Keir Starmer is saying here? If I’m on a protest against Palestinians being murdered, and someone on that protest says “Globalise the Intifada”: That means I am calling for terrorism against Jews? Are they any limits to this insanity?

🚨 BREAKING: Keir Starmer's full address to the nation over the Golders Green terror attack "If you stand alongside people who say Globalize the Intifada, you are calling for terrorism against Jews" "I call on everyone decent in this country to open their eyes to Jewish pain"

Fifteen years ago today (1 May 2011), U.S. Navy SEALs raided a compound in Abbottabad, Pakistan and killed Usama Bin Laden. The raid marked the end of a more than 15-year effort by partners across the Intelligence Community to find Bin Ladin. Learn more: cia.gov/stories/story/…

@Telegraph He has apologised, and rightly so, but this latest move betrays his propensity to align himself with the terrorist over those protecting the public. His followers who defended him should be embarrassed and ashamed.

A day later Polanski's tail is firmly between his legs: “Everyone in leadership has a responsibility for lowering the temperature at a time of such tension, and I apologise for sharing a tweet in haste. Police responses to emergency situations such as these do need later reflection in the right forums, but I accept that social media is not the appropriate channel for doing so. I have invited Mark Rowley to meet with me to discuss the police response and the wider issues raised in his letter.”
Guido Fawkes@GuidoFawkes

Zack Polanski now has a decision to make.

A man has been found guilty of preparing terrorist acts. Armed officers arrested him as he attempted to breach security at the Israeli Embassy in London, carrying two knives.

@weirdfigs @TimesRadio @ZackPolanski They have a responsibility to comment responsibly. He, as always, deliberately whipped up the armchair generals who know nothing about dealing with violence and terrorism.

@MattPDryden @TimesRadio @ZackPolanski it is the responsibility of politicians to speak about how the country is run, it is the responsibility of public service workers to remain silent about political matters in the run up to an election

@MattPDryden @TimesRadio @ZackPolanski Except Polanski was completely correct. It was not effective, it is directly warned against by their own standards and as a member of the London Assembly he has a right to comment on the Met. Officers bravery does not negate met training failures. It would be on them if he died.

@ZiaYusufUK You’re badly uninformed on PREVENT. Still. Do some reading. The threat posed by an individual is fluid: it changes over time. It can only be assessed at the point of referral. PREVENT is a non-criminal programme: engagement is voluntary.

So now we learn that this was YET another stabbing by a man who had been previously referred to PREVENT. Just like Rudakabana. At this point, if PREVENT were being honest it would rename itself FACILITATE.

@Bigarsenalfang @piersmorgan @ZackPolanski Don’t be disingenuous. It is clear you’ve never consoled the victims of terrorism or serious violence. Seen it first-hand. Your misplaced sympathy is an insult. You don’t live in the real world.

@AdamAdamhall388 @piersmorgan @ZackPolanski So you lied about the facts, and when called out, still maintain the force was excessive. I hope you and your loved ones never need ‘excessive’ police force to save your lives. You’d hate that.

@MattPDryden @piersmorgan @ZackPolanski I will never ever defend any criminal. But when you are down with cops holding you down. Don't mean anyone should kick someone in the head. What if that terrorist died. There would be no justice. A cop would be sacked. No one wins.

@AdamAdamhall388 @piersmorgan @ZackPolanski I thought you might go quiet there Adam lad when you’d put your glasses on and had another look at the footage. And yes, violent, armed criminals absolutely deserve a kick in the head if it means protecting the public.

@AdamAdamhall388 @piersmorgan @ZackPolanski That is a lie. Watch the footage again. He was kicked in the head because he still had the knife in his hand and refused to drop it after several warnings. He was only handcuffed when police managed to free the knife and overpower him.
