@RFrens @BenBan_qcb Forget the battle on the gridiron. That looks like the battle of the beards.

In the words of one of my daughter’s books, “Stick and Stone”, “That’s just what friends do. Friendship rocks, too.” You have to have great colleagues to do this work, appreciate @MattWprincipal. #eaglesrise

Why lead? I lead to support people to move themselves and others from surviving to thriving. Great activity this morning at New Teacher Orientation, @RFrens. Thanks @akruppe1 for fostering & developing these beliefs.

For a place designed and developed for kids, this crew is a few of the many kids who are the future of the new PreK-6 building. The ground has been broken and the project is underway. #eaglesrise @SCSEagles1

@Mrs_Pelton Plan on a coffee conversation once I have gotten further along in the book. I am interested to hear your thoughts.

Gratitude toward gratitude. Today I receive 3 thank you cards from Ss in the #classof2021 who were recipients of Schoolcraft Foundation Scholarships. It’s nice to know these scholarships inspired appreciation as our kids take flight. Thank you to our donors for their investment.

@Tracey_N_Chris There is a fine line between stretching someone’s comfort zone and growing and floundering. The difference, in my view, is a supportive adult to guide, mentor, teach/coach, and reflect.

This makes me wonder what structures we unintentionally put in place that force our kids to have to be resilient. If that is the case, shouldn’t we adjust our school climate so all kids have a barrier free experience? Life seems to offer up its own lessons well enough.
Alfie Kohn@alfiekohn

Resilience is a useful capability to have, sure, but efforts to promote it in kids often distract us from efforts to identify and challenge the harmful practices (or policies) that *require* resilience
