Rising tides life all Boats - Liquidity Modern Pokemon prices look most susceptible to a correction or maybe worse. If i have learnt anything in the last 5-6 years… it is this. Liquidity rules the world. Things that make me worry 1. Shift of attention to other categories especially Mangas, scripts, Cartridges, Non TCG - cards etc… 2. Crypto a big risk of sucking liquidity if BTC can reclaim 85k on the weekly. 3. Pivot continues into the Vintage - Just look at cards Shinies, Ivy Pikachu. Rather than say pokemon is toppy. I would say we will have some liquidity drained or reallocated. Modern will lose the most liquidity resulting in lower prices while vintage i suspect liquidity will continue to increase along with the entire “manga related collectible market” resulting in higher or at least more stable prices. This can be done even when we overall see less liquidity in the TCG portion of the market. I’m curious how even modern day grails like Ponchos, Munch and Marios goes. They will be tested but i feel they will outperform other modern (in the sense they drop the least) and will rally the most after prices bottom out. TLDR, other Pokemon/OP/DBZ overall look bullish. Not all will be equal.
