In this and subsequent posts I’ll cover how we approached implementation for Edition auctions. The goal is to treat auctions as reusable primitives — not one-off drops — forming part of a wider on-chain Edition system. The goal was simple: get something real into the hands of real people in the community. So whether you held 1 Del Mundo or 100, a Bobby Dazzler or a Top G, you still had one voice in the auction. This wasn’t about maximising spend. It was about maximising participation. That’s the nuance NFTs enable: Ownership isn’t just about assets — it can be identity. This will be expanded upon significantly in the roadmap both from a technical, and more importantly, a story narration point of view. Once you define an ownership objective clearly, the tech decisions follow. We’ll break down how we built it next.

We recently finished the first Del Mundos Edition launch. But what matters here isn’t what we sold — it’s how we chose to run it. When it comes to owning a Del Mundo, one of the core questions is : what actually is ownership? Is it: - each Del Mundo acting independently - the human behind them? Most protocols quietly default to: more tokens = more influence. For the Edition 001 auction however, we made a deliberate call that bidding power lies with the holder, not each individual Del Mundo.
