First Grade Cinderella Ball was an enchanting time! The activities were a celebration of the Wit and Wisdom Fairy Tales lessons. A huge thank you to everyone that made it possible including our first grade team, staff, families and especially the magical Mrs. Emerson!

We had a surprise assembly celebrating Ms. Stephanie Bode. She was selected as the Marcus Whitman Honor Society UPK-5th teacher of the year!

We are falling in love with this weather! We are having so much fun celebrating Red Ribbon Week! ❤️

I would say students are starting to answer our essential question, “How do books change lives across the world?” We introduced our new famous book, Green Eggs and Ham. Every child had a copy and one student asked if we could just have DEAR time for a minute! ❤️❤️❤️

We also matched a lot, totally unplanned!

Had the most amazing student teacher! Any child that crosses your path, will be SO lucky! We meshed together and our coteaching felt natural! We presented Ms. Dillon with tons of gifts today, including books we read together so she can build her own classroom library! We ❤️ you!

Story suitcase has been changed! I wonder what our new book is going to be about? Last week a student said, “At first I thought we were really traveling, but now I know we are traveling through books!” Proud teacher moment! 💡 Check ParentSquare for more pics of our day!

Recently one of our 2nd grade innovative thinkers scheduled a meeting to propose composting and recycling at our school. She came prepared with a presentation and answered questions like a pro! Stay tuned for the exciting opportunities ahead!
