Meridian would like to provide an update regarding the progress on @layercover, a parametric insurance marketplace offering instant claims, single-sided liquidity, and flexible pay-as-you-go coverage.
In light of recent depeg events involving $xUSD, $deUSD, and others, the need to make the DeFi ecosystem more secure, trustworthy, and efficient has become even more urgent. LayerCover’s mission is to deliver stronger, more reliable insurance capabilities that can help onboard institutions and larger capital flows into crypto markets.
The LayerCover team is working to establish partnerships with industry leaders to bring this vision to life, while also pursuing strategic funding that will enable the protocol to scale liquidity and broaden awareness.
Meridian stakeholders will be included in the early phases of the protocol and will be rewarded for their support and patience. We look forward to sharing more updates with them in the near future. 🛡

Update: Bribing for the MST-DOT @StellaSwap voting gauge will be held off until metrics indicate that bribing efficiency rises above 1 again.
The goal is to bribe only when efficiency is above 1, ensuring that the value delivered to stakeholders is retained and not diluted.
A bribing efficiency above 1 means the pool receives more cumulative rewards (in USD value) than the total value of rewards provided.
The numbers are being monitored.
