This is a reminder that Friday, January 16th, will be a full day of school due to a weather makeup day. Monday, January 19th, there will be no school in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day.

Due to the forecasted winter weather, the Mid Valley School District will be closed tomorrow, Tuesday, December 23, 2025. We wish everyone a safe and joyous holiday.

As a reminder, tomorrow, December 23, 2025, will be an early dismissal. The secondary center will dismiss at 11:30, followed by the elementary center at noon. We want to wish everyone a safe and happy holiday!

This is a reminder that students will be dismissed early on Monday, December 8 and Tuesday, December 9, 2025 for Parent/Teacher Conferences. Secondary Center Students will dismiss at 11:30am and Elementary Center Students will dismiss at noon.

Through this initiative, Mid Valley School and other public school districts can use funds to support meal programs to expand food distribution programs, create on-campus food pantries and gardens, supply extra weekend meals, and eliminate outstanding student meal debt.

Mid Valley School District is proud to be a part of the GIANT Feeding School Kids initiative! From January 1 – March 31, you can round up at the register to support our school district’s efforts working to eliminate childhood hunger.

We will be hosting our annual community drop off for items for our Thanksgiving Food Drive on Tuesday, November 18 from 2:30 P.M.-5:30 P.M. at the main entrance to the Secondary Center.

On Wednesday, a team of nine Mid Valley students competed against seven local school districts in the inaugural Next Level Leaders: A Day of Growth and Grit soft skills competition hosted by the NEIU19. They visited businesses throughout downtown Honesdale (1/3)

Residents, we are pleased to announce that the first round of checks for our 25-26 Property Tax Rebate For Seniors were processed and mailed out today! You should receive them in the mail next week. The next round will be processed in November. We'll be sure to keep you updated.
